I saw a post on Twitter. Iโbe been building a system that uses Kafka as an event backbone. Weโre interested in Pinot as a way to query our data.

Thanks Karin. A community member @Ananth Packkildurai introduced me to Pinot recently. We have been using MongoDB aggregation pipeline to power some of our real-time operational analytics use cases. As the data volume grew up some of these queries are slowing down and we are evaluating a few optimization techniques including prefetch. We'd like to do a POC with Pinot in the next 3 months and check if it can meet our medium term real-time analytics requirements adequately.

Thanks Karin. I had watched talk by Kishore on DataCouncil. We are evaluating it by doing a poc using pinot and comparing if it fits our requirment of low latency queries for data coming from multiple sources, also the unique indexing techniques especially the Star index. Along with pinot we are using presto for performing our joins.

This is awesome!
Thank you guys for sharing!
Sorry for the delay writing back, slack has a way of hiding replies to threads now. LOL.
