Since you are using K8s based deployment any configs will need to go to the corresponding component's configmap, in this case controller and inside there controller.conf section where other properties might be specified. Alternatively you can add it as a cluster config using this API: /cluster/configs and payload like this:

}

and restart Controller pod for changes to be applied.
