I am using date function

DATETIMECONVERT

but the returned type is

STRING

instead of

TIMESTAMP

, in general whats the way to have Pinot return type as

TIMESTAMP

in the result schema for timestamp col instead of long or string if any date time function is used ?

Hi Parag. What's your use case? If you're using in a BI tool like superset, it's better to use millisec. Otherwise, if you invoke SQL via REST api, the type is going to be string if internally it's TIMESTAMP

Got it, ended up using datetrunc which returns millis
