I ingest data from kafka topics to pinot realtime table and I need fields in header that encoded as text but i need to ingest them as long so i could use them as timestamp. how can i transform it to Long? for example i need to use this function transformFunction": "toEpochHours(__header$created_at) and created_at is only ingest as string

Hi Negin. Are you talking about the Kafka header or the header section of your payload? You should be able to use any of Pinot's date time functions.

this is on my message header. in fact i have problem with all numbers that in header that are only readable as string . i nead to read them as Long or timestamp
