Hi, I have nullHandling enabled for a table. When I do aggregation like
avg
on a column which can have null (missing value), Pinot still adds defaultNullValue to totalSum and divides totalSum by number of rows which includes rows having
NULL
value for the column, But this does not seem right, for eg,
mysql
automatically exclude rows having
NULL
in doing aggregation. I know, I can add filter
IS NOT NULL
in my query….but What if I want to do aggregation on two columns and one of them have lots of null value and other very few, for cases like these, I would have to execute two separate queries. Is this going to be fixed?
Ignore, I was using wrong query option
nullHandlingEnabled=true
Although I need to specify
enableNullHandling=true
