Hey guys, Regarding presto-pinot. Trying to run the following query:
select b.entity_name, sum(metric1) metric1
from pinot_hybrid_table a
join dim_test_table b
ON a.entity_id = b.entity_id
WHERE a.time_column = '2022020800'
group by b.entity_name;
getting following error on presto cli: Query 20220210_075959_00003_9hwvs failed: Unsupported data table version: 3 Can someone help?

hi @Anish Nair I'll make sure @Xiang Fu sees this later

this usually means your presto-pinot connector version doesn't match with the pinot version.
could you share which presto-pinot version you are using? and the pinot cluster version
x
@Anish Nair upgrade to latest presto code should solve your problem
Or you need to add this config to all pinot servers:
pinot.server.instance.currentDataTableVersion=2
a
Yes, pinot.server.instance.currentDataTableVersion=2 setting this config worked. Pinot cluster: 0.10 Persto: 0.270
we have observed the lookup performance of pinot is performing better than joins in presto. for instance, a lookup query is taking 2-3seconds and same query with join in presto is taking 10-15seconds. Have already enabled: pinot.use-streaming-for-segment-queries=true any other configs you can suggest ? @Xiang Fu

Did you profile the presto queries?
Joins require more data transfer from Pinot to presto then presto does the job
I would say that's by design
