can you share what commands you've run that lead you to that state? Did you start a controller/broker/server?

oh, that's weird. It seems like the external view is empty for some reason. Are you able to navigate to http://localhost:9000/#/zookeeper And then click PinotCluster/EXTERNALVIEW and look for 'brokerResource'

Yes i am able to navigate to brokerResource. here is how it looks

Hey - sorry. That error is super weird, because it seems to be suggesting that the brokerResource external state is null, hence the null pointer exception 🤔

yes, it is super weird, it is showing NPE but externalView has data in it.

May be the client wasn’t able to connect to Zk?

that's because it finds externalView to be empty but it is not.

did you try restart the zookeeper component?
