Thanks for these references. From an exploratory POV - I wanted to understand the difference in so many streaming datastores emerging nowadays.

I have a talk with this quite simplified view of the landscape. So in this diagram: Serving Layer = Apache Pinot Stream Processor = Flink / Kafka Streams And then things like Rising Wave/Materialize do some serving layer, but also some streaming processing.
