Hello #C03G7LJTS2G I am going through the
1.16
documentation where I saw the below screenshots. So, what does it mean? Windows is not supported by the
Python API
but I can see the example in the windows section or am I missing something here? Also, I have seen that lots of operators are not supported in Python API yet as per the documentation like Window Joins, Connect, Interval Joins, Iterate, Cogroup and so on. So is it true or just not updated in the documentation? TIA
d
The documentation is outdated. Will update it~ • Window join, interval join could be implemented in the Table API and so there are still no plan to support them in DataStream API for now. • Connect should already be supported, see https://nightlies.apache.org/flink/flink-docs-release-1.16/api/python/reference/pyflink[…]api/pyflink.datastream.data_stream.DataStream.connect.html • Iterate and cogroup are things that needed to be supported.
PS: the outdated documentation has been updated. Should be available one or two days later.

Cool. Thanks a lot @Dian Fu . I will check it again in a day/two
Also, @Dian Fu as you mentioned, Python API should start supporting Iterate and Cogroup since we know it is important. May be you can create a ticket for this. Just a thought.

@Siddhesh Kalgaonkar Yes, good advice! Have created https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-31171 and https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-31172 to track them.
