Hi y'all, I just started looking into Flink and was wondering if it's better used with Java or Scala or if it's just a matter of personal preference for either language?

The experience with Java is most likely better. The dedicated Scala APIs are deprecated as of the next version, but you can still use Scala with the Java APIs. See https://flink.apache.org/2022/02/22/scala-free.html for more details on that. In the end, it's a personal preference
