Hi. I found a bug in the kafka connecter and raised the issue here with a proposed fix here. Please let me know if you have any questions and what hte chances are for merging the fix?

Hi @Dries Samyn - The Jira ticket you're linking to has been closed since Flink 2.1; if there's a bug introduced because of that, there should be a new Jira ticket for it

Hi @Martijn Visser. Apologies, I linked the wrong ticket. issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-41269 is the one I raised, issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-38180 is the closed one that I believe introduced this.
