, pt-osc will not write any schema change related info into the binlog. Downstream CDC (and other binlog subscribers) may still receive data changes but interpret them using the old schema, causing errors or incorrect column mappings. I believe we need another approach to inform CDC that the schema has been changed, since it's not available from binlog. Sadly the only approach to recover from this situation is to re-snapshotting related tables.
