Hey y'all, I'm trying to work build / run tests on Flink locally and I'm having issues, I think with my company's security software, because the
pekko
tests try to connect to my machine's local-but-external ip (ie
10.0.0.whatever
.) Is there a property or something else I can just
-D
in order to force pekko to use localhost instead of whatever discovery mechanism it's doing?
Actually seems like a more general question, my bad. Pekko falls back to
getLocalHost

I think I struggled with similar issue while trying to run integration tests on my company's machine: https://github.com/apache/flink/pull/27820

Yeah, same sort of issue. I was able to partially work around it by setting my system's hostname to
localhost
(Internally it works by calling
gethostname()
and then resolving DNS on that) But then I ran into some other weird networking errors, which may be because my hostname was set to
localhost
.
