Hi Team, I am currently new to Apache Flink Community and I am facing issues with Flink 2.2.0 (Latest) and Flink CDC 3.5.0 (latest) setup locally. Below is the error I am facing when trying to use postgres CDC to ingest data from postgres table. *select * from products;* [ERROR] Could not execute SQL statement. Reason: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.flink.streaming.api.functions.source.SourceFunction My question here is if Flink CDC 3.5.0 is compatible with Flink 2.2 version? Could you please guide me to the right direction

Hi, Flink CDC currently only compatible with Flink 1.x

Hi @Aleksandr Pilipenko - Thank you for sharing the information. Do we anticipate CDC supported version in near future for flink 2.x versions and do we have any timeline? If we go with CDC 3.5 and Flink 1.x and then upgrade to 2.x once the CDC compatible version is available will there be any migration issues or backward compatibility issues? Could you please share your thoughts?

I am not aware of current progress on that front, but it appears to be in progress as per another discussion: https://apache-flink.slack.com/archives/C076E3QGX8A/p1771855874297939 In terms of compatibility - I do not know

Hi, I'm currently working on adding Flink 2.2 support to Flink CDC. There's currently a PR https://github.com/apache/flink-cdc/pull/4294 under review in the community. If you're interested, you could help review this PR and provide suggestions for improvements to help complete the Flink 2.2 support.
