i have 2 flink sql tables from a streaming query. they are both using

COUNT(DISTINCT some_column)

and i want to

JOIN

them, however the

JOIN

is not producing any results. when i checked the checkpointing history, the checkpointing is failing. i read that

COUNT DISTINCT

very expensive operation in streaming, what's the recommended way to do this?
