that implements the 
AbstractReporter
that was working with the older versions of flink, i.e., 
1.15.3
On upgrading to the latest stable flink version 
1.17.1
my metrics seem to be missing from my dashboard owing to this FLINK-24235 ticket. Are there any tips of reusing the same or examples of creating custom reporters as well?

Have you taken a look at some of these 
MetricReporterFactory
implementations that exist in Flink itself, like the one for Datadog, Graphite, Prometheus? I would expect that these should be sufficient inspiration to refactor your implementation to one that implements a 
MetricReporterFactory
?
