The FlinkDeployment "autoscaling-example" is invalid: spec.flinkVersion: Unsupported value: "v1_18": supported values: "v1_13", "v1_14", "v1_15", "v1_16", "v1_17"

error. I have built and deployed on my Kind cluster the 1.7-SNAPSHOT version of the operator. Before that, I have added the 1.6.0 helm repo. Is the 1.6.0 repo supporting version 1.18? Thanks!

You forgot to update the CRD

Thanks. Shouldn't the CRD be deleted when the helm chart is uninstalled?

no, Helm only touches CRD on first installation. It doesn’t automatically update them or uninstall them on chart deletion

there is a very good reason for this, deleting the CRD is not possible if there are custom resources created

also updating it incorrectly by accident can put the cluster in a bad state

whereas you could uninstall the operator/reinstall it without affecting running deployments
