Hi everyone, does anyone know how can I inject and environment variable to flink-configuration.yaml? I want to replace
metrics.reporter.dghttp.apikey: XXXsecretXXX
for something like
metrics.reporter.dghttp.apikey: "${DATADOG_APIKEY}"
, the environment variable
DATADOG_APIKEY
exist within the jobmanager and taskmanager pods, but it doesn't get picked by
flink-configuration.yaml
nor using the format
"${DATADOG_APIKEY}"
,
${DATADOG_APIKEY}
or
$DATADOG_APIKEY
. Another option I tried was using
METRICS_REPORTER_DGHTTP_APIKEY
as the env variable, as I was explained that by convention flink could expect
metrics.reporter.dghttp.apikey
to be in the env var
METRICS_REPORTER_DGHTTP_APIKEY

Unfortunately you can’t
But you can use a special
FLINK_PROPERTIES
env var like this https://lists.apache.org/thread/jmh9s1c8kgp7pbd0b5c9fqks5nksb682

checking, that's why I was looking for
thanks, Sap1ens, it's like I supposed, I didn't want to use a script, but it seems like the only way forward atm. I think is a bad implementation from Flink, configMaps are not supposed to contain secrets, at least provide an env var alternative.
