Hi , I am using Flink 1.16.0. I see on Flink UI dashboard that byte/record received and sink record/byte sent are shown as 0, but on other operators i am getting record recieved and record sent. Can anyone help me to resolve this issue? Thanks!

That only measures data sent between Flink vertices. No issue with your specific job. Arguably sources and sinks could be improved to expose this, but it is tedious per connector work.

For other operators we do not count as flink automatically get those byte/record received and sink record/byte sent counts. Is it that manually i need to expose the byte/record received and sink record/byte sent on sources and sinks ? .

That Jira ticket isn’t related to the issue that you’re describing. Martons comment is the correct situation

So in conclusion, Flink does not supports source and sink count right ? Can you provide any alternative to get those counts?

No that's not the conclusion: in your "Source: TCP source", the actual number of records are visible under "Records sent" and for "Sink: GRPC" they are visible under "Records received"

Then these issue i think fixed in https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-23652 , Also In Jira description it is mention metrics out-of-the-box for sources/sinks and supports connector developers. So this is different ?
