cli - I'm getting reports of 0 active consumers 🤔 Is this something I should expect in my metrics/reporting?

Have you enabled checkpointing?

Yes, we have checkpointing enabled

Flink doesn’t use kafka consumer group protocol for rebalancing / assigning partitions, so you’ll never see active consumers.
