Does the interval join create a window for every key in the predicate or does it create windows and then find key matches? I am using FlinkSQL if it matters.
in other words
Copy code
SELECT *
FROM Table1
LEFT JOIN Table2
ON Table1.key = Table2.key
AND Table2.timestamp BETWEEN Table1.timestamp - INTERVAL '5' MINUTE AND Table1.timestamp + INTERVAL '5' MINUTE
Is it possible for a key from the left and right tables to be one minute apart but not joined because they fall into different windows if windows are created first.
