we are trying to test out Autoscaler in Flink Kubernetes Operator, and found that Autoscaler seems only works with Application Deployments✅, not in Session Cluster Deployments❌.
Can anyone help confirm this is expected behavior? Thanks!

03/31/2023, 3:27 PMThe autoscaler algorithm deals with individual jobs. We can definitely extend this to SessionJobs but it doesn’t really make sense for session clusters directly

03/31/2023, 3:28 PMI think the session job support can be added once we upgrade the Flink client to 1.17 in the operator, we usually do this when the first patch version is released (1.17.1)

For support session cluster deployment, I mean to make autoscaler work on SessionJobs that are submitted to Session Cluster.
