Hi everyone, I'm currently the data engineer lead at Ønskeskyen 🙂 We have spent the last few months implementing flink jobs for some of our more complicated use-cases. We are using Scala 3, and running the workloads with the flink operator in GKE - which hsa been quite an interesting journey. In the past we were mainly using apache beam via dataflow, but are looking to get away from it due to performance and state control reasons.

hi all. i'm a flink noob. trying to bring "actors" and stateful streaming to more of the world. in the past i've used the SMACK(spark, mesos, akka, cassandra, kafka) stack to do similar things but flink seems to have removed so much of that burden from users. SMACK was so challenging to manage but we were able to have 10s of millions of actors representing real-world things so it was awesome.

Hi Team, I am working on streaming usecase where i need to build a central library which will take of error handling , retry ,kafka source and sink connection works . And any developer importing this library will have do take care of business validation and transformation without thinking of entire lifecycle of the message. So my question is can I build some library in java/python and flink or is there anything available in opensource similar to this . Thanks, Sanjeet
