I believe there is a

maxNumConcurrentSubTasks

parameter for compact tasks that you can use for this

I think that lets me compact in parallel using multiple compaction tasks, but it probably won’t help when the node is destroyed and recreated, deleting all local data (even if they could survive a simple restart)
