Would it be possible to upgrade to the latest version i.e Druid 25.0.0 (or maybe 24.0.2) which have several improvements for kinesis ingestion?

yup upgrade is on the roadmap. we have already switched to kinesis ingestion on druid 0.18.1

Tranquility is deprecated. We are no longer supporting it

yes , we did a switch to kinesis and facing the issues mentioned above
