We have recently taken over a project which uses druid as a data source which ingests data from Kafka every 15 mins. There are quite a lot of kafka topics(few are really fat with lot of columns and few are small) that land up as druid data sources. They all contain millions of records though.

Seems your Kafka data is pretty skewed. Any chance you can fix that ?

Of late we have seen many issues with the historicals getting down quite often. The current deployment is in kubernetes. We understand that we have to get a strong hold on Apache Druid to define the configurations that is apt for the use cases. Currently they are all running with the default configurations.

a) What sort of issues are you facing? Logs from the historicals will be useful b) Did you install Druid using Helm charts or Operators for K8s? c) What version of Druid are you on?
