Can you handle them at ingestion time?

Would `druid.generic.useDefaultValueForNull` take care of the `nulls` you're showing in the screenshot?

unfortunately we cannot handle them at ingestion time..these nulls are coming off as a  result of  certain conditions in the query and we cannot avoid them. But we want to eliminate them at the query time..

do you set `druid.generic.useDefaultValueForNull = false` in your common runtime properties?

if not, i would suggest it, it makes null handling behavior more compatible with standard SQL. If you still encounter problems after changing that then please let us know as it may be a bug
