the index.zip format on deep storage is a zip of the directory containing the meta.smoosh and other files — the same directory you would find in the Historical local segment disk cache

so you can zip those up and re-upload them to deep storage

you can use the `sys.server_segments` table to see which servers have which segments as part of trying to track down the missing ones

thanks for the suggestion! It seems like this is the best option I have. Possibly I can also query and ingest data but this will take more time than just moving files.

yeah, rebuilding the zips from segment cache is definitely what i'd try first in your situation

if that doesn't work, &amp; the original source data is still available, i'd reingest the original source data for any time chunks where you have missing segments
