guys the druid operator helm chart has been disappeared. I can’t find it. Used to be
helm repo add datainfrahq <https://datainfrahq.github.io/druid-operator>
but now there is nowhere to be found. ANY IDEA ANYONE?
k
IIRC, it went into the Druid repo then got split off to https://github.com/apache/druid-operator
s
Yes, instructions now in the repo point to
Copy code
helm repo add datainfra <https://charts.datainfra.io>
which is also dead 🤷‍♀️
oh wait, this is a another repo you point to
8 forks and 8 stars. Doesn’t look so trustworthy 😄
but i see all contributors
as far as i can see, there are no instructions on how to install now the operator using helm chart
or in any other way
well for now i have the artifact cached in my hard disk (version 0.4.0) — but it’s good to know if this has been discontinued

Maybe someone needs to add something to the README like
Copy code
# 1. Clone the repository
git clone <https://github.com/apache/druid-operator.git>
cd druid-operator

# 2. Install the chart
helm install cluster-druid-operator ./chart \
  --namespace druid-operator-system \
  --create-namespace
🤷
☝️ I have not actually tried this - it could 💥

well….let me try it…looks promising. Nice catch! I was lost in the readme files and I also read a migration to kubebuilder
worked like a charm — thanks for the help. I used the more trustworthy repo for now
Copy code
<https://github.com/datainfrahq/druid-operator>
it installs version 1.3.0
btw the druid operator still needs to be patched
Copy code
kube-rbac-proxy -> quay.io/brancz/kube-rbac-proxy:v0.22.0
doesn’t work out of the box

The datainfra chart was moved to Apache . It's trustworthy. Google the concerning Pullrequest. 😉
chart and release is in progress. We are working on it. Once done, you can use upstream apache directly.
Regarding trust, I will archive datainfra repo as soon as Apache release is done. 🙂
cc @Razin Bouzar - lets get the helm charts stuff sorted out.

@Stefanos Pliakos | @schmichri, we are working on a short term plan to make the druid-operator helm charts available via gh pages. There are some issues with publishing the page via
.asf.yaml
. @Adheip Singh and @Abhishek Balaji Radhakrishnan are looking into this. (pr ref)
