Do you need the

rat

profile? If you’re building the project only for development,

-Pdist

should suffice for the most part. Idk if you need to skip

Dgpg.skip -Ddependency-check.skip=true

. I usually exclude a few static analysis checks to speed up the build with the

dist

profile:

mvn clean install -Pdist

DskipTests -Dforbiddenapis.skip=true -Dcheckstyle.skip=true -Dpmd.skip=true -Dmaven.javadoc.skip=true -Denforcer.skip=true

Ah yeah, one more mvn option you could use is

-T1C

to the 👆 command, which will use multi-threads to build whenever possible. With that option, the full build usually takes ~6m on my M1 mac.
