Does anyone else find it strange that
LATEST(__time)
is returned as a
VARCHAR
instead of as a
TIMESTAMP
?
b
That is strange, I think LATEST may always convert to varchar. However, I think using
MAX("__time")
would probably perform better anyway as
LATEST("__time")
is really just performing
LATEST_BY("__time_","__time_")
. If you're using native queries a
timeBoundary
query is probably the fastest.

Ah, good idea.
