Hi, Does we need to put router behind load balance like HAproxy only for HA purpose or there is some load balancing purpose too?
g
routers are basically just reverse proxies so they can handle quite a lot of load. usually it's only necessary to have multiple of them for HA purposes

Thanks, but what about Druid Brokers? According to the official documentation: "Druid Brokers can be scaled out, and all running servers will be active and queryable. We recommend placing them behind a load balancer." Does this mean that the Druid Router acts as the load balancer for Druid Brokers? And should the typical architecture consist of: A VIP (Virtual IP) load balancer for HA (High Availability) between Druid Routers At least two Druid Routers One or more Druid Brokers ... other components
g
typically the Router is the load balancer for Brokers
& you could put the Router behind its own load balancer too
you're right about the typical architecture

Thanks a lot!
