10/30/2023, 1:53 PMHi @Deniz Arar the gist of that link is, you will basically have to migrate the metadata and the actual segments to the new cluster’s metadata store and storage (whatever you may be using, for ex S3/ Azure blob/google storage bucket etc.) once the new cluster has been set up. This will bring your new cluster to parity with the old one.
Many customers will consider a blue-green deployment model especially if being used for production, where you continue to use the old cluster and switch over to the new cluster once it is operational.
You may have more questions for the actual switchover, especially if you have realtime ingestion. I would encourage you to reach out on this channel if needed.
