I haven't noticed it being 50% performance but looking at the generic benchmarks that exist online and my experience has shown they are about 20-30% slower on CPU bound tasks.

do you know which graviton version you are using?  2 or 3?

The comparison I noted was between r6i and r6g. From our limited testing of r6i vs r7g we saw much closer performance but still slower on the graviton side (5-10%). I'll also note that all of AWS' claims about price/performance has compared m6g to m5 instances.

And the testing we ran was mostly around ingestion speeds.
