No. Druid will only use up to 300GB. You should make sure maxSize to be as close as possible to the actual disk size.

What's the path for Deep Storage in your config? Is it also under the same path as

druid.segmentCache.locations

no, actually, i'd like to correct myself. the deep storage is azure and the segment size is indeed set correctly to 800 GB. there was a duplicate config on the cluster which got me very confused. thanks for the responses. 🙏
