👋 Apache Cloudberry 2.2.0 — where things stand We’ve cut two release candidates so far, and neither has passed the vote. Both were blocked on LICENSE and NOTICE compliance issues found during review. Being blunt about it: this is normal, and it’s the process working. Apache releases make a promise about the licensing and provenance of every file we ship, and our mentors and the IPMC check that carefully. Finding these during a vote is much better than finding them after. We’re working through the remaining items — RC3 is close. If you want to help rather than wait: • Read the 2.2.0 preview so you know what’s coming → cloudberry.apache.org/blog/apache-cloudberry-2.2.0-preview • When RC3 is out, build it, test it, and reply on the vote thread. Non-binding +1s and -1s from users are genuinely useful — they tell us whether this thing works outside CI. Thanks for your patience. 2.2.0 is a big one: PostgreSQL kernel 14.4 → 14.10 with 41 CVE fixes, six new extensions, PXF observability, and the first release of Cloudberry Go Libs.
