hello everyone! do I understand correctly that column filtering was added in the latest Airbyte version? (https://github.com/airbytehq/airbyte/releases/tag/v0.40.26) is it available in Airbyte Open Source and do I need to do anything else aside from upgrading the Airbyte to get it activated?

Hi Anya! Thanks for your patience - I was out on holiday all last week, catching up with messages now. My first thought is that it should be available since it's in the release, although some features (like multiple workspace) are sort of hidden in the OSS version. Could you try updating and giving this a go? I will also inquire with the team!

Hey Anya - just heard back and unfortunately this is behind a feature flag AND it's not available in OSS. We're contemplating making it available, but if that happens it's not going to be soon. Sorry!

hey Nataly, thanks for getting back to me! It's really important for us to stop bringing PII into our data warehouse as we are preparing for an audit. So 2 questions from my side: • Is this functionality available in Airbyte Cloud? • When you say it's not going to be available soon in OSS, how do you define it? Do you think it will become available during this quarter? (I understand it might be challenging to commit to a certain deadline, but just for me to understand if it's a matter of weeks/months/quarters)

1. This is available in Airbyte Cloud behind a feature flag. My understanding is that certain customers have access to it. If you're interested I can connect you to our sales team, I only deal with the open source product. 2. By not available soon I mean that we're not certain if it will be available at all. There's a discussion going on whether to make it available, but I don't know when that would be resolved.

ok, thanks for all the clarifications! Yes, I'd like to talk to your sales team regarding this functionality, as if it's something we can't get solved with Airbyte, we'll need to look for another tool (which would be a shame, as we are really enjoying using Airbyte)

I have production pipelines using Airbyte, and now I have to find alternative, as Airbyte is no longer usable at all without Column Selection.
