1. I know the api can select/exclude columns.... but each schema change forces a refresh of all the data with the api
2. UI doesn't let you exclude
3. I know there have been api/ui changes merged in the last few versions to support this in the UI but i wonder how close to being deployed it is

01/05/2023, 4:58 PMYeah no idea. Maybe you could tackle it with dbt? But I am new to this, so from what I have been understanding that should be an option, but creating a view is just easier for now.

Annika is correct - currently the best and only way to handle this is by creating views in the source!
