Anyone know how to send sync failures to pagerduty? Would using: https://developer.pagerduty.com/docs/ZG9jOjExMDI5NTgw-events-api-v2-overview work?

Today Airbyte has support to Open Telemetry, check the docs here https://docs.airbyte.com/operator-guides/collecting-metrics. I don’t have context for Pagerduty if it supports this but you can try!
a
@Robert Put simply configure Pagerduty to receive alerts via webhook and point your airbyte config failure webhook to that.

🤦 yeah i was being stupid and just looking at the service integration vs extension in pagerduty, thanks for the responses

@Andrés Bravo do you know if you have to pass a routing key as a param in the url?
since you need to send the routing key and some other required fields in the webhook request
https://events.pagerduty.com/v2/enqueue?routing_key=<key>?event_action=trigger?payload.severity=critical?payload.summary=test?payload.source=test
Copy code
<https://events.pagerduty.com/v2/enqueue?routing_key=><key>?event_action=trigger?payload.severity=critical?payload.summary=test?payload.source=test
tried this
but thats not how post requests work... so don't think its really supported or an option to sent webhooks directly to pagerudty?
a
yes you need to send the routing key, we personally use an AWS endpoint -> AWS SNS -> Pagerduty but that’s more complex setup
r
but without something like that how can i send a routing key with the request? MY only input is a url, atleast in the ui
a
I’m not currently able to play with the Pagerduty account but you could potentially try to use query params, or use a simple zappier like integration, or build a simple serverless endpoint that sends the pagerduty params so no secrets are exposed.

@Andrés Bravo yeah no worries i can figure out a workaround that works for me. Thanks for the help!
