Hey, I'm trying to setup Airbyte on mac M1 Ventura 13.0 Both general setup and M1 specific one don't work. After setting up env variables and running
VERSION=dev docker-compose up
(these instructions) I'm getting:
Error response from daemon: manifest for airbyte/connector-builder-server:dev not found: manifest unknown: manifest unknown
Regular
docker-compose up
ends up with some Postgres errors I believe. Attaching logs.

Hey Patryk, this looks really weird, especially if it's a fresh install. Does your docker have enough space? I ran into that on my M1 machine recently.
p
hi @Nataly Merezhuk (Airbyte), I have 40GB available space on my Mac. Docker doesn't complain about lack of space
n
Could you try
docker system prune
?
p
Copy code
❯ docker system prune
WARNING! This will remove:
  - all stopped containers
  - all networks not used by at least one container
  - all dangling images
  - all dangling build cache

Are you sure you want to continue? [y/N] y

Did not help 😞

Wow this is so puzzling 🤔 Could you try without the ENV variables? Just noticed you linked to gitbook, this is the correct version of the docs: https://docs.airbyte.com/deploying-airbyte/local-deployment Do you have Intellij running? Is your
docker compose
up to date?
p
Basically I'm installing from zero as I did not have docker installed on this machine before. So I installed latest Docker from their website, and went along the instructions on Airbyte docs. I've tested docker with different images (ex. wordpress) and it works all right. Tried with ENV vars and without them, nothing helps. As for docker compose, I'm using latest version of Docker Desktop, docker-compose version is
1.13
and apparently it's up to date. In release notes I can see there is 1.14, but there is no upgrade path described apart from updating Docker Desktop (which is already up to date 🙂 ) I'm not using IntelliJ or any IDEs

There's probably something small that's wrong and we just can't put our fingers on it. Let me think about it some more, but I think the most straightforward option would be to try and do a fresh install of everything
