Airbyte is an open-source data integration engine that helps you consolidate your data in your data warehouses, lakes and databases.

Airbyte

What would be the comparable service in AWS and what are the advantages that Airbyte has over it?

We have published comparisons between Airbyte and other popular ELT/ETL tools here: <https://airbyte.com/etl-tools-comparison>

There isn't a 1:1 comparison with any specific AWS service because our projects have different goals. Airbyte addresses <https://airbyte.com/blog/why-etl-needs-open-source-to-address-the-long-tail-of-integrations|the long tail of data integration> with support for <https://docs.airbyte.com/integrations/|hundreds of data sources and destinations> across a huge array of platforms. Also, since we're open source, if you need a connector that isn't on that list then it is possible to <https://docs.airbyte.com/integrations/custom-connectors|build your own> using our Connector Development Kit :slightly_smiling_face: Although AWS does have data integration services such as AWS Glue, they build for their own platform and do not allow the level of customization and flexibility that Airbyte is capable of.
