Hi All, My need is to pass a custom string parameter "query" inside syncCatalog object while to create connection api (Screenshot attached) between source postgres and destination s3. So that I can get this value inside postgres source connector inside AirbyteCatalog object. I have added that property in airbyte_protocol.yaml and config.yaml along with changes in required classes. I have below questions for the same. Can someone help me on this. 1. Do I need to build entire airbyte platform? While build entire platfrom I getting error in airbyte-webapp test module. is there be any impact on webapp due to airbyte_protocol.yaml or config.yaml. How can I approach this problem. 2. While building only source postgres connector I am getting error saying unrecognized field "query". Where else I need to make changes so that this field can be recognized.

Hi, Rahul! 1. Make sure you run
npm install
in the
airbyte/airbyte-webapp
directory. This may fix the errors. 2. I'd need to look further into this, but currently our team does not have the capacity to provide software development support.

Hi @Nataly Merezhuk (Airbyte), I tried below two steps. 1. Running
npm install
in the
airbyte/airbyte-webapp
directory. 2. Running SUB_BUILD=PLATFORM ./gradlew clean build command in /airbyte directly. But still I am getting the same error. Please find attached screenshot. Can you please help on this.

You need to look at the stack trace of where the task fails and see where it's coming from. Also - don't wait for the build so long, if it's running longer than 20 minutes likely there's something wrong. If you're running integration tests, those usually take a really long time

Hi @Nataly Merezhuk (Airbyte), I am just running command to run platform as per the documentation. Is there any way I can reduce this time or avoid running integration test. Is there any other command to build the platform?

I believe there's a way if you're using a python venv, there's a flag to skip tests. I can't find the specific command right now, but it might be a
-test
flag. Here's the docs on building/testing with python as oposed to gradle: https://docs.airbyte.com/connector-development/tutorials/building-a-python-source#step-2-build-the-newly-generated-source
