Man… you can ask forever this product is based on community development and has enormous amount of bugs, they released (18.11) version last friday which doesnt even start, in the begining od the week they rolled back features and released new one which starts but has plenty of bugs
it’s nearly impossible to work with this product, i figured out that 0.40.19 is closest version to stable and recommend it but it has problems too
c
Thanks, I will try 0.40.19 later

There is a PR to solve this issue (the proxy timeout). The PR will probably be merged next week. If you use v 0.40.14. which is the last version before the proxy added, you shouldn't have the issue. https://github.com/airbytehq/airbyte/pull/19493#issuecomment-1324202491
By the way, Airbyte is a great product and has a great community.

@caesee for some cases with a lot of tables the connection won’t be make because it break the maximum length of the message (json body). I recommend to you create a specific used with more restricted access to make it work. @Krzysztof as you said, Airbyte is a community product and you’re welcome to help improving it. Open issues to whatever problem you had. Sometimes latest version had bugs, the team is working to make the release process even more stable to improve this
btw @caesee use threads instead of multiple messages!

@Marcos Marx (Airbyte) any idea if this proxy timeout has been fixed yet? I'm receiving it on an Oracle connection as well. We need to sync 200 tables so we have 200 tables added to the user.
Weird, one of my schemas with 465 tables seems to work
m
It will depend on how many columns those tables have too

Did v0.40.23 solve the issue (the proxy timeout)?
@Marcos Marx (Airbyte) Hi!Did v0.40.23 solve the issue (the proxy timeout)?
m
I don’t think the PR solving the proxy timeout will solve the issue @caesee
m
I'm also waiting on a solution to this problem. Does it also impact basic authentication with nginx?
Is this being worked on?
m
@caesee the latest version includes the proxy timeout fix. It solved my problem.
