Hello Team, I have a gcp Managed Instance where I have installed Airbyte. But when I try connecting it to postgres Managed gcp instance it doesn't connect. It simply gives non-json response. However same connection works when I try connecting via local docker instance. Why is this happening and what is the turnaround?
r
Did you connect to postgres from the managed GCP instance, does it work
m
I am investigating the non-json issue. Apparently it is happening with a lot of people recently. It started happening with me also after I upgraded to airbyte 0.40.18 from 0.39.41
k
@Rajesh Koilpillai Yes, I tried connecting to postgres from Managed gcp instance and it succeeded. It only gives issue when making a connection call via Airbyte which is running on GCP compute machine.

Check the logs to see if there are any other specific errors related to establishing the connection
n
@Karan that's a great suggestion by Rajesh. Feel free to post the logs here to, I can help to pin down the error
m
@Nataly Merezhuk (Airbyte), can someone check the issue that I posted? The "non-json" is happening with a lot of people and the issue is probably because of the introduction of airbyte-proxy (details on the issue). I already posted a PR to solve it
n
Thanks for the PR! I'll bring it to the attention of the team so it can get reviewed!

@Rajesh Koilpillai @Nataly Merezhuk (Airbyte) I looked into the logs. This is the error I'm getting. Invalid SSH key entry - expired key.
u
Could you try generating a new key?
k
I did that multiple times. Same log everytime.

@Marcelo Pio de Castro thanks for the PR! We're out of the code freeze and I'd love to help you get this merged before the winter holiday code freeze goes into effect some time in mid December. Could you please resolve the conflicts? Ping me after and I'll work on getting this merged. @Karan as a workaround before Marcelo's PR is merged, I'd suggest trying an earlier version , perhaps pre
0.40.18
. I know this isn't ideal, but hopefully it gets your setup running!
