I really want to use airbyte for a project of mine but this seems like a gaping hole in the airbyte system, unless there's a way to secure it

we are simply running airbyte in a private subnet

theres really no need to expose it to the internet (for ingress traffic)

exactly, you can use google iap or do a reverse proxy to add security

but airbyte doesn’t have auth in the webapp yet
