Thinking completed Why the Connector Update Applied Across All Sources and Workspaces This behavior depends on the
type of update (patch, minor, or major) and your
Airbyte plan.
For Self-Managed Plans (OSS/Self-Managed Enterprise) When you update a connector via
Settings > Sources/Destinations (the local registry/image update step),
Minor and Patch version updates are applied immediately and globally to all connectors of that type across your instance. This is by design:
>
"Minor and Patch Versions: Once you opt-in, these are applied immediately and globally to all connectors of that type in your instance."
[
Connector Updates]
This means if you updated the Google Sheets connector image in Settings, it updated the connector version for
all sources using that connector, across all workspaces.
For Cloud Plans Minor and patch versions are also
applied automatically and immediately to your instance without any manual action needed.
How to Update Only a Specific Source Instance If you want to update only a
specific source (not all of them globally), you should update the connector version at the
source level, not at the settings/registry level:
1. Go to
Sources in the navigation bar.
2. Select the specific source instance you want to upgrade.
3. Click
Upgrade and confirm.
>
"Update each instance of the connector separately. If you have multiple instances of a connector, updating one doesn't affect the others."

Connector Updates]
Note that this instance-level upgrade applies to
major version updates. For minor/patch updates on self-managed plans, the global update behavior is expected and cannot be scoped to a single source. đ 0 button đ 0 button âšī¸
