@kapa.ai I'm syncing MySQL to Postgres DB using v3.0.16 postgres connector. The source schema on mysql has camel-case columns (e.g. "UserID" and "FirstName"). I want them to be all lowercase instead. Is there a quick setting to do this?

Thinking completed The knowledge sources do not explicitly mention a quick configuration toggle or setting to force column names to lowercase in the Postgres destination. In the Postgres destination connector, final tables and column names are created using quoted identifiers, which preserves case sensitivity [Postgres Documentation]. Column names undergo Postgres sanitization (replacing non-alphanumeric characters with underscores and prepending underscores if starting with a digit), but the existing casing from the source is preserved [PostgresNamingUtils.kt]. There is currently no user-facing setting in the Postgres destination to automatically convert column names to lowercase or snake_case [Forum Post: Airbyte converts the source objects and attributes names to UPPERCASE]. Any lowercase transformation would typically need to be handled downstream (for instance, via transformation tools like dbt) or modified at the source definition. 👍 0 button 👎 0 button â„šī¸ Tip: Mention @kapa.ai in the thread for follow-ups or DM the app for 1-to-1 help.
