@kapa.ai I want to upgrade my salesforce connector to version 2.8.0 but on my airbyte ui it shows the latest version is Update available: 2.7.22 . airbyte version -> 1.8.3 can you tell me why this is happening and why i don't see latest salesforce version in my worksapce ?

Why You're Not Seeing Salesforce Connector v2.8.0 There are a few likely reasons why your Airbyte instance (v1.8.3) is only showing v2.7.22 as the latest available Salesforce connector version: 1. Connector versions are tied to your Airbyte platform version Airbyte 1.8.3 was released on September 24, 2025 [v1.8 release notes], while Salesforce connector v2.8.0 was released on July 17, 2026 [Salesforce changelog]. The connector versions bundled with your Airbyte instance reflect what was available at the time of that platform release. Newer connector versions released after your Airbyte version may not automatically appear in your registry. 2. Self-managed plans require manual opt-in On self-managed plans, connector updates are not applied automatically — they are opt-in. You'll see a badge in the sidebar indicating available updates, but only for versions that your platform registry is aware of. [Connector Updates] What You Can Do Option 1: Upgrade your Airbyte platform The most reliable fix is to upgrade your Airbyte instance to a newer version that bundles the latest connector registry (which includes Salesforce v2.8.x). This is the recommended approach. Option 2: Manually update the local connector image If you want to stay on Airbyte 1.8.3 but use a newer connector version, you can manually update the connector image: 1. Go to Workspace settings > Sources. 2. Find the Salesforce connector. 3. Click Change to update to the latest available version in your registry. [Connector Updates] > Note: If the connector image for v2.8.0 is not yet in your local registry, you may need to upgrade the Airbyte platform itself to pull in the updated registry. The knowledge sources don't explicitly confirm which Airbyte platform version first bundled Salesforce v2.8.0, so upgrading the platform is the safest path. šŸ‘ 0 button šŸ‘Ž 0 button ā„¹ļø Tip: Mention @kapa.ai in the thread for follow-ups or DM the app for 1-to-1 help.

@kapa.ai are you sure that connector versions are bundled with airbyte version. and i can't see all connector version in a given airbyte version. don't assume give me proof

You're right to push back on that. I should not have stated that connector versions are "bundled" with a specific Airbyte platform version as a confident fact — that was an assumption on my part. The knowledge sources I have access to do not explicitly explain why a specific connector version (like Salesforce v2.8.0) might not appear in your workspace on Airbyte v1.8.3. What the knowledge sources do confirm is: • Some connector versions require a minimum Airbyte platform version to be compatible. For example, the GitHub issue shows connectors requiring
>=1.7.0
being blocked on Airbyte
1.6.x
. [GitHub Issue] • On self-managed plans, connector updates are opt-in and you'll see a badge for available updates — but the sources don't explain the full mechanics of how the connector registry is populated or updated. [Connector Updates] What I'd recommend: I'm sorry, but the knowledge sources don't contain enough information to definitively explain why Salesforce v2.8.0 isn't visible in your workspace on Airbyte v1.8.3. For a precise answer, I'd suggest: • Checking the Airbyte GitHub issues or community forum for similar reports • Reaching out to Airbyte support directly šŸ‘ 0 button šŸ‘Ž 0 button ā„¹ļø Tip: Mention @kapa.ai in the thread for follow-ups or DM the app for 1-to-1 help.
