PUT https://bigquery.googleapis.com/upload/bigquery/v2/projects/.../jobs?uploadType=resumable
"message": "Request had invalid euc header."
"status": "INVALID_ARGUMENT"
is a known issue with the Airbyte BigQuery destination connector. [GitHub Issue #72307]
What's Happening EUC = End-User Credentials. The "invalid euc header" error strongly suggests that authentication tokens are expiring or becoming invalid during long-running resumable uploads to BigQuery. The connector retries, but the retries may not successfully commit checkpoints, causing the sync to repeatedly process the same data without advancing. [GitHub Issue #72307]
This is particularly common when:
• Syncing large datasets (many records/properties)
• Syncs run for extended periods (hours)
• Using resumable upload mode to BigQuery
Suggested Workarounds 1. Upgrade to BigQuery destination v3.0.1+ — This version implements a new Direct Load paradigm that avoids the traditional raw table staging approach and may be less susceptible to this issue. Note this is a breaking change, so review the BigQuery Migration Guide before upgrading. [GitHub Issue #62090]
2. Reduce the number of streams/properties synced — If your HubSpot instance has many custom properties (e.g., 380+), try unchecking unneeded properties in the stream configuration to reduce payload size. [GitHub Issue #62090]
3. Check your GCP service account credentials — Ensure the service account key used for BigQuery authentication is valid and has not expired. Rotating or re-issuing the credentials may help.
4. Use GCS Staging — Older versions of the connector had a recommendation to use GCS staging for long-running syncs to avoid credential timeout issues during direct uploads. [Airbyte Forum]
Current Status This is an open issue being tracked at GitHub Issue #72307 and has been escalated to the Airbyte destinations team as P1 priority. The root cause investigation is focused on token refresh behavior during long-running resumable uploads.
