Hi all, over the past couple of days I'm experiencing some issues with the PayPal source connector, when trying to get transactions data. My stream is set to incremental append. The error message is as follow:
Copy code
'GET' request to '<https://api-m.paypal.com/v1/reporting/transactions?fields=all&page_size=500&start_date=2026-06-11T21%3A49%3A26Z&end_date=2026-06-12T00%3A33%3A17Z>' failed with status code '404' and error message: 'Data for the given start date is not available.'. Request (body): 'None'. Response (body): '{'name': 'INVALID_REQUEST', 'message': 'Data for the given start date is not available.', 'debug_id'...
Connector version: 2.6.31 Does anyone else encountered this? any suggestions? @kapa.ai

PayPal Transactions 404 "Data for the given start date is not available" The knowledge sources don't explicitly document this specific 404 error (
Data for the given start date is not available
), so I can't give a definitive root cause. However, based on what is documented, here are the most likely explanations and suggestions: Possible Causes 1. Data availability delay: PayPal transactions can take up to 3 hours to appear in the Transaction Search API after execution. If your incremental sync is running very frequently and the
start_date
falls within that 3-hour window, PayPal may return this error. [Performance Considerations] 2. Historical data limit: PayPal only allows retrieval of up to 3 years of historical data for the
transactions
stream. If your cursor state somehow points to a date outside this window, you may see errors. [Performance Considerations] 3. Connector version: You're on v2.6.31. Note that v2.6.22 changed the HTTP response action for 400 errors from
IGNORE
to
FAIL
, which means errors that were previously silent are now surfaced. While your error is a 404, it's worth checking if upgrading to the latest version (2.6.35 as of 2026-06-09) resolves the issue. [Changelog] Suggestions • Check the timestamp in your error: The request uses
start_date=2026-06-11T21:49:26Z
and
end_date=2026-06-12T00:33:17Z
. This is a very recent range (~2.7 hours). Given the 3-hour data availability delay, try scheduling your syncs less frequently to avoid querying data that hasn't yet propagated to PayPal's reporting API. • Upgrade the connector to the latest version (2.6.35) to benefit from the most recent bug fixes. • Check your PayPal account permissions: Ensure that the Transaction Search feature is enabled in your PayPal Developer Dashboard, as this is a prerequisite for the transactions stream. If the issue persists after these steps, I'd recommend opening a GitHub issue on the Airbyte repository with your full logs, as this specific error isn't covered in the current documentation. šŸ‘ 0 button šŸ‘Ž 0 button ā„¹ļø Tip: Mention @kapa.ai in the thread for follow-ups or DM the app for 1-to-1 help.
